Alpine Inn Restaurant and Harney Peak Hotel
Built in 1886, the Harney Peak Hotel quickly became a prominent Hill City showplace and historical landmark. Family-owned and operated for over two decades, the Alpine Inn Restaurant carries on this tradition of excellence. This popular restaurant has gained notoriety in national and international publications for its delicious food as well as its friendly, homey atmosphere steeped in Old World Charm. The luncheon menu boasts both ethnic European and contemporary dishes. The evening menu is famous for its filet mignon and homemade desserts.
Country Inn Bar & Casino
“Come for a brew, and stay for the view” at the Country Inn Bar & Casino in Hill City. This bar and casino provides a light and comfortable atmosphere with pool tables and video lottery machines. The restaurant offers one of the most beautiful views of Harney Peak in the area from its relaxing outdoor deck.
Chute Rooster Steak House & Lounge
This Hill City restaurant offers customers a unique view of Black Hills history. The historic barn building is filled with many local antiques of the Old West era, making each dining experience memorable. The main restaurant seats approximately 75 people – and there is a section for smaller groups which seats around 30 people.
The barn has a famous loft, frequently used and perfect for banquets, family reunions, wedding parties, birthday parties, and dances. The menu provides a wide variety of burgers, pasta, salads, homemade soups and sandwiches, appetizers (including chislic, a South Dakota favorite deep fried steak tip) seafood, steaks, nightly specials, and kids’ menu.

Centrally located in the Heart of the Black Hills in Hill City, South Dakota the Slate Creek Grille is open year-round and provides a smoke-free environment indoors and a smoking section with service on the outdoor seating area.
